Individual Consultations

1:1 Initial Consultation – $150 – 1.5 hours

This is a one-on-one appointment with an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant to address complex breastfeeding concerns, low milk supply, anatomical/feeding concerns and/or poor weight gain in the infant, chestfeeding, and induced lactation. The IBCLC will complete a history and background for both parent and infant, perform a detailed assessment of the infant’s oral structure and motor function, assess breastfeeding for the dyad, and provide support in the session to help improve breastfeeding confidence and success. After the session, the parent will receive a detailed plan and a report will be sent to the referring provider.

1:1 Follow Up Appointment – $100 – 1 hour

This is a one-on-one appointment with an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant to follow up on recommendations, strategies, and plans provided after the Initial Consult.

Prenatal Appointment – $100 – 1.5 hours

This one-on-one appointment is for parents who are expecting. The International Board Certified Lactation Consultant will meet with you prior to having your baby. She will complete a detailed history of the parent, as well as gather information regarding the pregnancy. She will work with the family to provide an individualize plan for initiation of breastfeeding that takes into consideration medical and family history, birth setting, manner of delivery, infant health, and any unique circumstances. She can also meet with families planning an adoption or birth of infant to LGBT couples who are interested in induced lactation or chest feeding to create a plan for initiation of feeding.

Pre-Frenectomy Clinic – $150 – 1.5 hours

The Pre-Frenectomy appointment involves the assessment of the functional movements of the lip and/or tongue and referral to a specialist (Pediatric Dentist or ENT) as indicated. We will provide skilled education, latching, and positional strategies pre-revision.

Post-Frenectomy Clinic – $100 – 1 hour

The Post-Frenectomy follow up includes oral motor stretches and individualized exercises to promote optimal outcomes for both mom and baby. We will work in collaboration with the Pediatric Dentist or ENT. The follow-up visit may be scheduled at your provider’s office depending on availability and location

OT and SLP Feeding Services – $100 – 1 hour

These appointments are specifically designed to address oral motor function of the infant. They will be conducted as follow up appointments to the Initial Consult, with the focus on improving oral motor abilities of the infant to facilitate breastfeeding.

*Please note that we do not offer other OT or SLP services such as sensory processing, fine motor therapy, speech-language therapy, or feeding services for older children.

Prenatal/Postpartum Packages – $300 – 4 hours total

This package includes 1 prenatal appointment and 2 postnatal appointments with an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.

The prenatal appointment will include a detailed history of the parent, as well as gather information regarding the pregnancy. The IBCLC will work with the family to provide an individualize plan for initiation of breastfeeding that takes into consideration medical and family history, birth setting, manner of delivery, infant health, and any unique circumstances. She can also meet with families planning an adoption or birth of infant to LGBT couples who are interested in induced lactation or chest feeding to create a plan for initiation of feeding.

The first postnatal appointment will occur within 12 hours of delivery for home births and within 24 hours of returning home for hospital births. This appointment will focus on supporting the dyad in initiation of breastfeeding and addressing early breastfeeding issues such as difficulty with latch, positioning, establishing milk supply, and engorgement. The IBCLC will complete a thorough history of the delivery, medical history of the infant, and an oral exam of the infant, as well as assessment of breastfeeding. She will provide a plan at the end of the visit.

The second postnatal appointment will be in 1-2 weeks after the first appointment, on sooner if needed, and will follow up on the plan provided in the first postnatal appointment.
